Stop The Attacks

Hate-filled rhetoric and attacks on the LGBTQ+ community have grown bolder and louder in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. Most recently, the Supreme Court failed to do its job in the Skrmetti case by upholding Tennessee's ban on healthcare for transgender youth. This is the first time the Court has allowed a discriminatory, anti-trans law like this to go into effect — a chilling precedent that opens the door for similar laws to stand across the country. Across the country, anti-LGBTQ+ bullies seek to restrict our rights and send us back into the closet.

These attacks deepen concerns that the Dobbs decision overturning the legal right to abortion could undermine other cases built on the same constitutional foundation — the right to privacy provided in the Fourteenth Amendment — including marriage, civil and worker protections, protection against hate crimes, and so much more.

Right now, anti-LGBTQ+ bullies are winning the political narrative on issues related to our lives. They are spreading dangerous, bigoted tropes like “groomer” to push repressive legislation and attack our community. We know the best way to stop a bully – fight back.

Build Electoral Power

Standing together to “Fight For Our Rights,’’ we are working to maintain and advance protections for the LGBTQ+ community by expanding electoral power and defeating anti-LGBTQ+ elected officials. Together we will:

• Hold accountable those in power actively working to dismantle our rights and attack our community.
• Expand protections by electing allies.
• Combat disinformation and threats to individual and civil rights.
• Build a political strategy that makes it impossible to win office on the backs of our community.

We are called to do all we can to protect the lives and freedoms of LGBTQ+ Americans against elected officials’ extremist threats. There are many paths to victory. We will fight for progress at all levels.

Laser-Focused to Win

Fight For Our Rights is an experienced team of nimble and creative political strategists dedicated to defeating anti-LGBTQ+ bullies and blunting the dangerous narratives pushed by right-wing extremists. We won in Iowa in 2022, expanded to six states in 2024, and, in 2025, targeted six vulnerable bullies in Virginia and New Jersey, winning every race and helping Democrats add seats to their majorities in both state legislatures. In 2026, we are already on the board, supporting Veleria Levy in a North Carolina Democratic primary where she defeated an incumbent who enabled discriminatory anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, winning with 68% of the vote. The attacks against the LGBTQ+ community must stop, and we will keep fighting.

To Fight For Our Rights and shift the power, our work ahead is clear:

• Continue our track record of identifying electoral races we can win by going on the offensive through every campaign tactic available. These include a targeted set of state, county, or local races where our engagement is pivotal to defeating an anti-LGBTQ+ bully.
• Develop materials and messaging that blunt the attack language and bring the truth of who we are into the conversation. Fight For Our Rights will build upon existing work to find the most effective messages in this political environment.
• Partner with Pro-LGBTQ+ National and State Coalitions to be a critical strategic partner – expanding the recognition of our rights by ousting the most villainous bullies.
